Oceania Vegetation Index
|
This image shows recent measurements of the amount of vegetation throughout Oceania. It uses the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), which is measured by satellite. The NDVI represents how green the surface is and provides an estimate of the density and coverage of green vegetation. In the image, areas with large amounts of vegetation are colored green, while areas with little or no vegetation are colored brown.
