Last month's precipitation
| This image shows the total estimated precipitation during the past month. The precipitation is estimated from the amount and frequency of rainfall as viewed by the satellite. The precipitation image was created using data from the Special Sensor Microwave Imager (SSM/I). This is one of the instruments on a Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) satellite. |
