The effects of smog on lakes and rivers


In some regions of the world, acid rain is a significant environmental problem, killing trees, fish and amphibian populations. The cause of acid rain, mostly by fossil-fuel combustion, is well known. In some areas, the problem is being reversed and acidified lakes are returning to their normal pH counts. But much work still needs to be done to stop the scourge of acid rain.
